What is Panomonkey?
Panomonkey is an online panoramic photo stitcher. It allows you to create panoramas without knowing anything technical about panoramic photography. Upload your images, and download the finished panorama.
Using our deep experience of panoramic photography, color correction, and building software, we have created a system
that might fool you with its simplicity. We perform a great number of technical adjustments to your images that
otherwise would require manual intervention. With our system, you should be able to create panoramic photos at a level of
quality that would usually require 1-2 years of training.

How do I use it?
First, you need to know how to shoot panoramic photos.
Then, you upload the images that make up a panorama; after a few minutes the finished panorama will be ready.
If you like the result, you can download and share a trial version of your panorama and / or upgrade to a high-resolution
version of your panorama that can be downloaded and shared.

What do I need?
All you need is a camera (including the camera on your phone) and the ability to follow our easy instructions.
You can use a panoramic tripod head (panohead)
and a tripod if you wish but it is not required.

What don't I need?
Nearly everyone will tell you that to make quality panoramas, you need a panohead and a tripod.
Panomonkey frees you from this rather annoying burden. Our algorithms are so robust that it is possible to shoot panoramas handheld.

What do I have to learn?
You need to be able to hold a camera steady and straight (if shooting handheld). It helps to know how to expose a photo at the proper exposure.
Please read our How to shoot Panorama Photos page for more details.

What don't I have to learn?
You don't have to learn how to correct or compensate for lens distortion, sensor shift, chromatic aberration,
bayer interpolation, unsharp masks, noise reduction, tonemapping. That's only the beginning.
If you want to learn all that stuff, feel free. Since we've already thought about it for you, there is probably no need.

Can I publish my panoramas on 360Cities.net?
Yes, you Can! Join 360Cities here.

Will this save me time?
Panomonkey will save you a huge amount of time: the steep learning curve associated with traditional panoramic photo
stitching is eliminated; the time you spend on creating each panorama using Panomonkey is a tiny fraction of the time
you would spend using traditional software - and we will probably give you superior results on top of that!

I tried and it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Probably you missed our shooting guidelines.
Please read them carefully before you try uploading anything.
Panomonkey is easy, but things can go wrong sometimes. If you’re stuck, please contact us.
